Jon O'Sullivan, Director and Co-Founder
Mr. O’Sullivan is a founder and owner in OrthoEconomics, a company providing third party outsourcing of business processes for specialty practices. Jon O'Sullivan was formerly a Senior Partner and founding member of VMG Health. Since the inception of VMG in 1995 to the sale of his interest in the company in 2012, he provided leadership in the company’s strategic objective of providing financial and transaction advisory services in the healthcare market. Under his direction, VMG Health grew to over 65 professionals. Mr. O’Sullivan was also a founder of Practice Performance Inc. (PPI), a third party business process outsourcing firm serving the medical practice market in Texas, Colorado and South Carolina. After starting the company in 1997 and growing the company over 120 employees providing services including accounts receivable management, accounting services, human resource services and information technology outsourcing, the company was successfully sold to MedSynergies in 2006.
Jon O’Sullivan is the Principal and Founder of HealthEconomix. The company is a focused financial advisory firm providing valuation, development and investment consulting in the healthcare services market with an emphasis on surgical services lines including surgery centers, specialty and short stay hospitals, surgical services in acute care hospitals, and specialty and surgical physician practices. For over 20 years, Mr. O'Sullivan has provided valuation consulting, joint venture development consulting, and transaction reprsentation services in the healthcare services market to clients throughout the United States. His clients have profit and nonprofit hospital systems, surgical facility management businesses, private equity, law firms, financial institutions, and physician organizations. Mr. O'Sullivan has performed thousands of engagements in facilities including acute care hospitals, specialty hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, imaging centers, cath labs, radiation therapy, dialysis centers, and a wide variety of physician organizations. In addition to working for a healthcare clients across the United States, Mr. O'Sullivan has worked with clients internationally in markets such as Singapore, Thailand, and Hong Kong.
Mr. O'Sullivan was also a founder of PracticeTech, Inc., a provider of networked technology solutions and support within the healthcare with a strategy of providing services to healthcare clients operating on Windows-based IT platforms. Through its staff of Microsoft certified engineers, the company’s services include network design and implementation, connectivity, network security, software selection, and complete support services. The company was included in the sale to MedSynergies. Mr. O'Sullivan is also a founder and owner of VMG Holdings, a holding company for passive strategic equity ownership and investments in the healthcare market where the company has had the ability to leverage its unique blend of financial and healthcare market knowledge. Prior to founding his various companies, Mr. O'Sullivan served was with the financial advisory services group of Ernst & Young. Mr. O’Sullivan holds an MBA degree in Finance and Accounting and is a certified public accountant (CPA).
